Sheridan was selected as the contractor to build the new 96,000square foot   Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Bibb County. Heard Elementary, which we also built, was a prototype for MLK Jr Elementary.

The project consisted of the demolition of the former King Danforth School and construction of the new school on the same site. The new school consists of three classroom wings (pre-engineered metal building with brick veneer), a cafeteria, gymnasium and administration wing. The project had over 95,000 yards infill to bring the slabs to grade.

The project started in the fall of 2014 and through working closely with the owner, project team and subcontractors Sheridan was able to deliver a completed building the following August. In fact, it was finished four months ahead of schedule and under budget.
